I see no contradiction in my mention of your “paradox” and my agreement with what you said.
And once again, I do think that in order to become a better person (socially at least) you have to develop yourself, starting with your own life. Start doing stuff, going out, discovering and socializing (as in talk to people).
I do think I got it, although I’m at the beginning; I’m doing my best to handle my “solo” life first, before I start expanding (draw, guitar, sports, education, …).

I disagree with this lady, her “soft” attitude is just weird.
Check out Cory Skyy’s video about “What women want”, while it may not be the ultimate truth, it’s definitely WAAAAY closer to the bullseye than this woman’s arrow (that’s lost in a rice-field).

You just made a cliché by calling them contradictive and confused. I agree with you. They’re emotional creatures that’d like to use their logic, but their emotional “system” is way too powerful. So that might eventually explain the contradictions.
If you haven’t got your life handled, don’t think about being able to “attract” anyone into it.
It depends, it’s on a scale, but if you’ve a life where no women are required, you’ll most easily get them into it.
My 2 cents.
