All you need to know is do NOT move in with a woman. Also, do not develop a financially dependent relationship with a single mother. Because if you break up, she can still get your money. The courts will rule that because the child benefitted financially from your sexual arrangement, the free lunch continues long after the BJs have stopped.
References :
A common law marriage IS a legal marriage- and is not exempted from the rules and regulations of a marriage. However, a common law marriage isn't the result of just "living" together there is often criteria, such as filing an income tax from together, and referring to each other as husband and wife. Common law marriage is not available or recognized in all states.

I also cannot comprehend the rest of your ramblings- they seem like you don't have any understanding of the law, society, what it means to be in a committed relationship or be married. Men in marriages aren't slaves and neither are women. Sure, some husbands and some wives treat their spouse like sh*t, but that is not the case for all couples. Some spouses really have egalitarian relationships, where they love and value each other for what they do in the marriage/relationship and what they do outside of it (Work, hobbies).

Lastly, yes character is important and why would you marry someone whose character you didn't know? Women don't have degrees in male psychology either. You can judge someone's character by spending time with them, watching/observing them and listening to them. If you don't do that, and marry someone because he/she is hot or makes a lot of money, you get what you get.
References :
Yes, marriage is definitely a win/lose situation. All of your points are so very valid. I'd like to add another. What happens when the woman becomes more unattractive by the day? That would scare any man away for sure. It is inevitable, too.

I urge all men to stay single. If some tail comes your way, use it (Safely) and then let it go. There will always be more.

"How on Earth has this men's MISERY befallen upon us?" -- The idea is that men have been exploiting women for "tens of thousands of years" now and/or taking advantage of the options/choices that they received as part of the package of being born of the male persuasion. It's the women's turn now.
