Listen love, many of them use the ‘I’m been badly hurt’ line as an excuse to behave badly towards you.

All you have to do is tell him to either shape up, or ship out. And mean it.

If he likes and respects you, he’ll do it. If not, you’re better off without him.

Well for one this man takes everything on face value, like most men do. They don't realise that what women say and what they mean and what they feel are actually 3 different planets! He just took you at face value when you would have decided not to see each other. He was being sincere to that decision. Whereas you expected him to say bye, why? Just let him be, if he truly loves you he shall return otherwise it wasn't meant to be.

Hmmmm maybe get intouch and try being friends. So you can help him with his troubles. But you then wont get hurt.
